報(bào)告摘要:In this talk, I will discuss a Lotka-Volterra competition system with dynamical-resource dependent diffusion. We show the system has a unique global classical solution when initial datum is in some appropriate functional space. By constructing appropriate Lyapunov functionals and using LaSalle's invariant principle, we prove that the solution converges to the co-existence steady state exponentially or competitive exclusion steady state algebraically as time tends to infinity in different parameter regimes. Our results reveal that once the resource species has temporal dynamics, the striking phenomenon ``slower diffuser always prevails" for given spatially heterogeneous resource may vanish and two competitors can coexist regardless of their diffusion rates and initial values. When the prey resource is spatially heterogeneous, we use numerical simulations to demonstrate that the phenomenon ``slower diffuser always prevails" breaks down if the non-random dispersion strategy amongst competing species is employed.

王治安教授簡(jiǎn)介
王治安教授1998年畢業(yè)于華中師范大學(xué);2001年在華中師范大學(xué)獲得碩士學(xué)位;2007年在加拿大Alberta(阿爾伯塔)大學(xué)獲得博士學(xué)位。2007-2009年在美國(guó)Minnesota(明尼蘇達(dá))大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)與應(yīng)用數(shù)學(xué)研究所做博士后;2009-2010年在美國(guó)Vanderbilt(范德堡)大學(xué)任助理教授;2010年至今在香港理工大學(xué)任教授。王治安教授主要研究領(lǐng)域包括趨化模型及生物數(shù)學(xué)模型的理論分析和數(shù)值模擬,已在包括SIAM J.Applied Mathematics、SIAM J. Mathematical Analysis、J. Differential Equations、J. Mathematical Biology、Nonlinearity等國(guó)際知名數(shù)學(xué)雜志發(fā)表學(xué)術(shù)論文70多篇,得到了同行專家的大量引用和良好評(píng)價(jià)。是多個(gè)SCI雜志的編委,已主持和完成多項(xiàng)Hong Kong Research Grant Council科研基金。
