報告題目:Threshold dynamics of a nonlocal and delayed cholera model in a spatially heterogeneous environment
報告摘要:A nonlocal and delayed cholera model with two transmission mechanisms in a spatially heterogeneous environment is derived. We introduce two basic reproduction numbers, one is for the bacterium in the environment and the other is for the cholera disease in the host population. If the basic reproduction number for the cholera bacterium in the environment is strictly less than one and the basic reproduction number of infection is no more than one, we prove globally asymptotically stability of the infection-free steady state. Otherwise, the infection will persist and there exists at least one endemic steady state. For the special homogeneous case, the endemic steady state is actually unique and globally asymptotically stable. Under some conditions, the basic reproduction number of infection is strictly decreasing with respect to the diffusion coefficients of cholera bacteria and infectious hosts. When these conditions are violated, numerical simulation suggests that spatial diffusion may not only spread the infection from high-risk region to low-risk region, but also increase the infection level in high-risk region.

汪翔升副教授簡介
汪翔升,路易斯安那大學(xué)拉菲特分校數(shù)學(xué)系副教授,畢業(yè)于香港城市大學(xué)和中國科學(xué)技術(shù)大學(xué)聯(lián)合高等研究中心。曾任職于紐芬蘭紀(jì)念大學(xué)和東南密蘇里州立大學(xué)。主要從事計算數(shù)學(xué)、動力系統(tǒng)、數(shù)學(xué)生物學(xué)、正交多項式等方面的研究。他的研究興趣包括漸近分析和生物數(shù)學(xué)等交叉學(xué)術(shù)領(lǐng)域,已在Adv. Math., J. Differential Equations, J. Math. Biol., J. Math. Pures. Appl., SIAM J. Control Optim.等國際知名數(shù)學(xué)期刊上發(fā)表學(xué)術(shù)論文四十余篇。
