報(bào)告摘要:Chemotaxis models are used to describe the movements of biological species or living organisms in response to certain chemicals in their environments. It is known that chemotaxis may induce finite-time blow-up in various minimal chemotaxis models. In a minimal chemotaxis model, there is no reaction term or source term in the governing equation for the living organisms. It has been attracting a lot of attention to study the dynamics of chemotaxis models with a nonlinear source. The current talk is concerned with the dynamics of chemotaxis models with logistic source. In particular, I will discuss the finite-time blow-up prevention by logistic source in parabolic-elliptic chemotaxis models on bounded domains and the effect of chemotaxis sensitivity on the spreading speeds of chemotaxis models with logistic source on the whole space.

沈文仙(Wenxian Shen)教授教授簡(jiǎn)介
沈文仙教授1987年于北京大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)系獲得碩士學(xué)位;1992年于美國(guó)喬治亞理工學(xué)院數(shù)學(xué)學(xué)院獲得博士學(xué)位。自1992于美國(guó)奧本大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)系任教,2002后成為全職教授。沈教授多年來(lái)致力于研究許多微分方程中的動(dòng)力學(xué)問(wèn)題,包括異質(zhì)和隨機(jī)介質(zhì)理論中的行波解,單調(diào)動(dòng)力系統(tǒng)中的Lyapunov指數(shù)理論,非局部擴(kuò)散算子的譜理論及應(yīng)用,和擬周期反應(yīng)擴(kuò)散方程的漸近動(dòng)力學(xué)行為。沈教授在《Transactions of The American Mathematical Society》、《Journal of Differential Equations》、《Journal ofDynamics and Differential Equations》等國(guó)際著名期刊上發(fā)表學(xué)術(shù)論文80余篇,論文被引用超過(guò)1000多次,主持過(guò)多項(xiàng)國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金。
