報(bào)告題目:Block Krylov Solvers for Sequences of Linear Systems

摘要:In this talk, we are interested in the solution of a sequence of linear systems with several right-hand sides given simultaneously or in sequence. Such problems are required in many large scientific and industrial applications, such as in Lattice QCD, radar cross section calculation in computational electromagnetism, wave scattering and wave propagation in acoustics, various source locations in seismic and so on.Block Krylov subspace methods appear as good candidates for the solution of such linear systems in the computational sciences. However, different from the “happy breakdown” in regular single Krylov solvers for solving a system of linear equations with only one right-hand side, one difficulty for applying block Krylov solvers for solving such systems rests on a common issue of rank deficiency, which might appear when expanding the residual spaces, and is caused by the convergence of individual or linear combination of solution vectors. Such rank deficiency problem could lead the block Arnoldi process to breakdown before the solutions for all the right-hand sides are found. We report two recently-developed block minimun residual norm subspace methods with addressing such rank deficiency problems. This work is joint with Emmanuel Agullo, Luc Giraud, Ting-Zhu Huang, Yan-Fei Xiang.

荊燕飛,電子科技大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)科學(xué)學(xué)院研究員,博士生導(dǎo)師,副院長(zhǎng)。電子科技大學(xué)應(yīng)用數(shù)學(xué)博士,法國(guó)國(guó)家信息與自動(dòng)化研究所(INRIA)博士后,荷蘭格羅寧根大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)與計(jì)算機(jī)科學(xué)所訪問(wèn)學(xué)者。主要研究方向?yàn)閿?shù)值代數(shù)與科學(xué)計(jì)算及應(yīng)用,主持國(guó)家和部省級(jí)科研項(xiàng)目5項(xiàng),在國(guó)際權(quán)威期刊發(fā)表了30多篇學(xué)術(shù)論文。獲四川省科技進(jìn)步一等獎(jiǎng)(自然科學(xué)類)(排名第2),四川省優(yōu)秀博士學(xué)位論文,美國(guó)百人會(huì)英才獎(jiǎng),第四屆中國(guó)計(jì)算數(shù)學(xué)學(xué)會(huì)優(yōu)秀青年論文競(jìng)賽二等獎(jiǎng),第五屆中國(guó)計(jì)算數(shù)學(xué)學(xué)會(huì)青年優(yōu)秀論文競(jìng)賽優(yōu)秀獎(jiǎng),四川省數(shù)學(xué)會(huì)首屆應(yīng)用數(shù)學(xué)二等獎(jiǎng)。擔(dān)任中國(guó)高等教育學(xué)會(huì)教育數(shù)學(xué)專業(yè)委員會(huì)常務(wù)理事,四川省數(shù)學(xué)會(huì)理事會(huì)理事,四川省普通本科高等學(xué)校數(shù)學(xué)類專業(yè)教學(xué)指導(dǎo)委員會(huì)委員,四川省僑聯(lián)特聘專家委員會(huì)特聘專家,四川歐美同學(xué)會(huì)·四川留學(xué)人員聯(lián)誼會(huì)會(huì)員,成都?xì)W美同學(xué)會(huì)·成都留學(xué)人員聯(lián)誼會(huì)理事,四川省學(xué)術(shù)和技術(shù)帶頭人。
