報(bào)告題目:Spreading speeds for multidimensional reaction-diffusion systems of the prey-predator type

報(bào)告摘要：In this talk, we investigate spreading properties of solutions of a large class of two-component reaction–diffusion systems, including prey–predator systems as a special case. By spreading properties we mean the long time behaviour of solution fronts that start from localized (i.e. compactly supported) initial data. Though there are results in the literature on the existence of travelling waves for such systems, very little has been known—at least theoretically—about the spreading phenomena exhibited by solutions with compactly supported initial data. The main difficulty comes from the fact that the comparison principle does not hold for such systems. Furthermore, the techniques that are known for travelling waves such as fixed point theorems and phase portrait analysis do not apply to spreading fronts. In this paper, we first prove that spreading occurs with definite spreading speeds. Intriguingly, two separate fronts of different speeds may appear in one solution—one for the prey and the other for the predator—in some situations. This is based on a joint work with Profs. Thomas Giletti and Hiroshi Matano.

Arnaud Ducrot教授簡(jiǎn)介

Arnaud Ducrot，法國(guó)勒阿弗爾諾曼底大學(xué)教授。畢業(yè)于法國(guó)里昂高師，獲學(xué)士和碩士學(xué)位，并于2004年在法國(guó)里昂中央理工大學(xué)完成PhD論文答辯，獲博士學(xué)位。2010年于波爾多大學(xué)獲得法國(guó)國(guó)家博士。2005至2018年在法國(guó)波爾多大學(xué)任副教授。2018年9月任法國(guó)勒阿弗爾諾曼底大學(xué)教授。

Arnaud Ducrot教授的主要研究領(lǐng)域是微分方程和動(dòng)力系統(tǒng)及其應(yīng)用，尤其關(guān)于種群動(dòng)力學(xué)以及傳染病學(xué)，針對(duì)反應(yīng)擴(kuò)散方程，時(shí)滯微分方程及年齡結(jié)構(gòu)擴(kuò)散方程的空間入侵及行波解方面做了很多重要且經(jīng)典的工作。迄今為止，Arnaud Ducrot教授在“Math. Ann.、Arch. Ration. Mech. Ana.、J. Math. Pures Appl.、SIAM J. Math. Anal.、SIAM J. Appl. Math.、Nonlinearity、J. Differential Equations、J. Math. Biology”等國(guó)際著名期刊上發(fā)表學(xué)術(shù)論文80余篇，受到了國(guó)內(nèi)外同行的關(guān)注與多次引用，并應(yīng)邀在多次重要國(guó)際會(huì)議做邀請(qǐng)報(bào)告。
